Project Description: Museo del Acero is a 2300 square metre, $7,000,000 museum consisting of two exhibit galleries and a multi-media Furnace Show. The Furnace Show uses music, video, special effects, and lighting to tell the story of a seventy-meter tall blast furnace that is the centrepiece of the steel museum in Monterrey, Mexico. The lighting is a key component in the creation of an immersive experience for the visitor.
The Furnace Show features over 2000 control channels of DMX (lighting control protocol), 800 Color Kinetics LED luminaires, strobe lights and moving lights.
